SILETZ RIVER & BAY CHINOOK & COHO FISHING
Near Lincoln City Oregon runs the beautiful Siletz river with a Fall Chinook Salmon run nothing short of spectacular, trophy size fall chinook and coho salmon. The Siletz river is famous for the "Movie House" where the 1971 film "Sometimes a Great Notion" was filmed. This tidal influenced section of the estuary provides excellent harvest opportunities for very large King Salmon. We start fishing on the Siletz as these giants begin entering the bay mid August - early November. Out in the mouth of the river we can back troll cut plug herring and spinners for actively feeding fish as well as flasher spinner and Super Bait combinations and bobber fishing eggs and sand shrimp produce extremely well a couple miles up in tidewater.

Grab your bobber rod rigged up with 40# Maxima leader, a 5/0 hook and a glob of salmon eggs with a sand shrimp. Toss it out into to schools of staging salmon. When that bobber disappears reel down tight and set that hook! You’ve got a KING on the line!

Enjoy a comfortable ride out to the mouth of the Siletz River where we will back troll cut plug herring with 2-4 oz. weight droppers to entice actively feeding chinook and coho salmon entering the river. This bite is very aggressive and is an unmistakable heart stopper!
