Experience the Best Fishing on the Oregon Coast

Hi I am Captain Mitchell Brooks,  an expert Oregon fishing guide specializing in river fishing packages for Salmon and Steelhead from Oregon's many beautiful rivers, as well as your best choice for offshore charters in the mighty Pacific ocean. As a United States Coast Guard certified and licensed by the State of Oregon, fully insured fishing guide I have been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod and know the area well. I own one of the best fishing charters in the Salem Oregon area. Guiding coastal and inland waters near and around Reedsport, Florence, Eugene, Newport, Lincoln City, Salem, Pacific city, Portland, and Astoria.

I grew up on one of Oregon's most beautiful and diverse rivers, the Umpqua river where I mastered many of the techniques necessary to become a great well rounded  fisherman under the tutelage of my father. I have been professionally guiding fishing trips for over 10 years now, and have honed my skills over decades of tried and true methods, techniques and research.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the sport with others who are interested in learning more about the many fisheries Oregon has to offer. 

 I thoroughly enjoy taking people who have never fished before out for their first time because I know what a fantastic experience it can be for them! I offer trips on the Columbia river for  the world famous Buoy 10 Astoria Oregon salmon fishing experience that starts in August running through the first week of September. From there we head south with many options for ocean salmon and bottom fish (ocean condition dependant) out of Newport and Depoe bay, Oregon (June-September). Coastal Fall Chinook fishing trips begin once salmon runs start entering our Oregon coast estuaries (September-November) Salmon fishing trips for Chinook and Coho during this time take place on the Alsea, Yaquina, Siletz and Nestucca lower river sections in my 23ft River Wild sled. Once the rains come we will move to up river fishing trips in my 18ft Clackacraft drift boat on the Nestucca, Trask, Wilson and Kilchis rivers in Tillamook, Oregon(October-November). Winter steelhead guided drift boat fishing trips begin in December and run through the beginning of April and take place on the Nestucca, Trask, Wilson and Kilchis rivers. Spring Chinook Salmon fishing trips start in March back on the Columbia river as well as the Willamette river and moving to the Oregon coast on the Nestucca river in Pacific City, Oregon through the month of July.
