OREGON TILLAMOOK COASTAL RIVERS

Trask river guided fishing trips

In Tillamook Oregon we have the 18 mile long main stem of the Trask river. This is one of 5 rivers that are tributaries to Tillamook bay. This north coast Oregon river provides some of the west coast's most productive fishing.  Similar to the Nestucca, Wilson and Kilchis, we can target Fall chinook returning September- November and start chasing its trophy steelhead from December- March.

Nestucca river guided fishing trips

The Oregon coasts beautiful 57 mile long Nestucca river Fall Chinook run gets started in September and continues until the end of December. Followed by, and sometimes overlapping is our acrobatic Nestucca Winter Steelhead run starting to enter the coastal rivers in late November through April which opens up the possibility  of a salmon and steelhead mixed bag in December.

We will use an array of fishing techniques to dial in what the fish are biting dependent on the conditions of the day  from bobber and bait, jigs, beads, drift fishing, spoons, spinners and back trolling plugs to target Fall Chinook, coho and Steelhead.

I guide out of an 18ft Clackacraft drift boat for this amazing fishery to keep you comfortable and safe on your adventure.

Wilson River Guided Fishing Trips for Winter Steelhead

Another famous choice among anglers is the gorgeous Wilson river. This 33 mile long river formed by its Devils Lake Fork and its South Fork, it runs west through the Tillamook State Forest to its mouth near the city of Tillamook, Oregon. Abundant opportunities start in September for the Fall Chinook that come in with the first rains of the season and runs through late November. Winter Steelhead will follow the chinook and feed on the spawning salmon eggs as they drift through walking speed riffles making the steelhead aggressive,  territorial biters not to mention one of the Northwests hardest fighting fresh water fish!
